#10 – Bella Thorne (Net Worth: $2 million)

The beauty icon Annabella Thorne is the first teen to appear on the list. Her career began with the 2003 comedy Stuck on You which stars Matt Damon and Greg Kinnear. Bella had an uncredited role but it would be the beginning of a television and movie career that has been going on for over a decade. She also started appearing in the shows Entourage and The O.C. but it wasn’t until 2007 where she would land her first major television role in the show Dirty Sexy Money.

A year later she would join Christian Slater in the series My Own Worst Enemy which won her a Young Artist Award. She would then join the Disney Channel for a multitude of deals. The first had her co-starring in the show Shake It Up which was a teen sitcom about a dancer who has dyslexia. While Bella never took a dancing class in her life, she did previously have dyslexia which she overcame by spending a considerable amount of time each day reading everything she could. Like most other Disney girls, Bella began releasing hit pop songs which would end up appearing on the Billboard Hot 100. She began working on a debut album but she decided to cancel the album after being displeased with its progress.
Just recently she was in the comedy movie The Duff and was offered the lead role in the MTV series Scream but she turned it down to play a different character in the series, one that she personally felt would be more of a challenge to play. She’s also regularly in commercials for Neutrogena products and has a following on the Internet for fans of the Spider-Man series. This red-headed beauty would be the perfect Mary Jane Watson and fans aren’t shy about letting it be known.

#9 – Jackie Evancho (Net Worth: $2.5 million)

Jackie began singing when she was seven years old and saw the film version of The Phantom of the Opera in theaters. She loved it so much that her parents bought her the DVD upon its home release and Jackie fell in love with singing. She would constantly roam around her family’s home and belt the songs with her unusual voice. A few months later her mother and father entered Jackie into a talent contest called Kean Idol where she finished runner-up, behind a 20 year old opera singer.  After the competition, members of the audience encouraged Jackie’s parents to start a YouTube channel for her. Jackie would post videos all the while honing her talent by taking vocal lessons and singing in various events and churches across her home state of Pennsylvania.
She finished in second place in three more competitions after her debut talent show: The first being in Las Vegas when she competed in the 15th annual U.S.A. World Showcase Talent Competition, the second was when she returned to Kean Idol and finished once more in second place and the final time being when she appeared on the fifth season on the very popular televised talent show America’s Got Talent. She was only 10 years old at the time but she gained nationwide media attention for her voice.
Outside of talent competitions she also enjoys doing musicals for theater production. She has appeared in a variety of popular ones including A Christmas Carol, Little Red Riding Hood and High School Musical. Jackie had a brief appearance in an episode of the 2011 Disney Channel show Wizards of Waverly Palace where she sang an inspiring rendition of “America the Beautiful”. These days she is still singing and acting but also modeling for girls clothing lines.

Willow Smith needs no introduction, as she is the daughter of legendary actor and rap artist Will Smith. Willow was born on Halloween in the year 2000. She made her acting debut starring alongside her father in the 2007 zombie thriller I Am Legend. Her next role would star alongside Abigail Breslin, who is later featured on this list, in the movie Kit Kittredge: An American Girl. Her performance was so well received that she ended up winning a Young Artist Award. She also did some vocal work for the movie Madagascar: Escape 2 Africa. Willow’s real mother is Jada Pinkett Smith and she does the voice of a Hippo named Gloria. The writers thought it would be cool to have Jada’s real daughter be the voice of a younger version of Gloria which is how she got the part.
Even though she had appeared alongside her father at a young age, Willow’s career wouldn’t break out until 2010 when she released the single “Whip My Hair”. The song would become a nationwide sensation and has become somewhat of an Internet meme. Currently the video has over 145 million views on YouTube. Her next single would be a song called “21st Century Girl” and although it received some media attention, the song didn’t receive the significant amount of airtime that “Whip My Hair” did. For the past several years she has continued making music although for five years she had trouble being able to actually release an album. That all changed when just a few months ago on December 11th, 2015, she released her debut album titled ARDIPITHECUS (are-deh-pith-eh-cus) which has done fairly well for itself.

Cody Simpson is one of Australia’s richest teens. He is a singer, songwriter, actor and dancer who has toured all around the United States to promote his music and even was featured in a season of Dancing with the Stars. As a child, Cody’s passion was swimming. He practiced rigorously at a very young age and has even gone on to win gold medals in several swimming competitions in Australia. Things would change in 2009 when he began singing covers of popular Justin Timberlake and Jason Mraz songs on YouTube. After scouring the Internet, Atlantic Records producer Shawn Campbell had discovered that Cody possessed a natural talent in singing and ended up signing him to his label.
After being signed to a major label, Cody decided to relocate his family to Los Angeles so that he may begin working on his singing career. He simultaneously started touring across the United States and writing songs / releasing EPs. He became relatively successful as he started appearing on The Today Show to promote his music and even was a star on Dancing with the Stars where he partnered with Whitney Carson, who is a professional dancer. Unfortunately for him, they were voted out on the fifth week. In 2014 his career came to a halt when he parted ways with Atlantic Records. However, he decided to start a new band with a few of his friends from back in Australia, and they call themselves Coast House Band. He was able to transition from solo artist to lead band member fairly easily, and you can watch videos on their official YouTube channel to check on their progress.

#6 – Elle Fanning (Net Worth: $5 million)

Mary Elle Fanning is the sister of Dakota Fanning. Dakota, being the older of the two, became famous before Elle did; however, Elle simply did not just use her sister’s fame to promote her own career. She has been acting her entire life and has proven in many films that she is just as talented, if not more so than her older sister. Elle’s career began when she was three years old in the 2001 movie I Am Sam. She has gone on to star in several major hit films, including Daddy Day Care, Déjà Vu, Babel, The Curious Case of Benjamin Button and even did vocal work alongside her sister in Miyazaki’s animated masterpiece My Neighbor Totoro.
Although she played some minor parts in some hit films, her career wouldn’t really take off until she joined the cast for J.J. Abrams sci-fi drama Super 8 which premiered in June of the year 2011. Since then her career has blossomed and some may say she is now more popular than her older sister. Since Super 8 released, Elle has gone on to do several other projects, the most prominent one playing as Sleeping Beauty herself in the 2014 Walt Disney movie Maleficent. Just like her older sister, Elle’s career has really been able to take off. She has been nominated for numerous awards, although she has only won a few of them. She isn’t even 18 years old yet and already is worth more than most people her age. Although she and her sister are very famous, Elle describes themselves as just normal, typical sisters, who go to school and do other activities people her age do.

Rico Rodriguez was born in 1998, making him seventeen years old and will turn eighteen this July. He was born in Texas to parents Roy and Diane Rodriguez, who own a tire company. He also has a sister named Raini who also acts and has appeared in a few movies and is a regular on the Disney Channel show Austin & Ally. Rico decided he wanted to be an actor when he was eight years old and saw his sister (Raini) performing. He was immediately able to land a few small roles, primarily in television shows like Cory in the House, iCarly and Jimmy Kimmel Live! It wasn’t until 2009 when he landed a role in the sitcom Modern Family that his career was really able to kick off. Since then he has appeared in nearly every episode, making over $70,000 per episode. Not bad for someone who isn’t legally an adult. That along with his book deal he has been able to rack up quite the income over his years of being a star.

Chloe is an actress and model who achieved fame at a very young age. She was born in Atlanta, Georgia in the year 1997 but moved to New York with her mother and older brother when she was only five years old. Her brother was accepted to the Professional Performing Arts School which is what initially drew Chloe to acting. While her brother attended auditions and had to perform various skits in front of an audience, Chloe would help him practice. She learned to read and would recite lines opposite him. In return, her brother would teach her everything he knew about acting.
After extensively training and learning how to perform, Chloe would go on to appear in various television shows. She also was able to get a small part in a movie but it wasn’t until her second film, The Amityville Horror that Chloe would begin to garner some national recognition. Throughout her career she has leaned towards playing as emotionally disturbed characters, appearing in films like: The Poker House, Dark Shadows, Carrie, Hick and Kick-Ass which is based upon the comic book of the same name. She would reprise her role as the female lead in Kick-Ass 2 a few years later. A lot of Chloe’s movies tend to flop critically, however critics tend to praise her performances each time, stating she is often the highlight of every movie she is in.
Her acting career is still going strong. She spends a lot of time modeling for magazines and is set to play the titular mermaid character in the upcoming The Little Mermaid live-action film.

#3 – Jaden Smith (Net Worth: $8 million)

Jaden Smith is the son of actor Will and Jada Plinkett Smith and the older brother of actress-musician Willow Smith, who also made an appearance on this list. Jaden was born on July 8th in the year 1998 and will be turning 18 years old later this year. His film debut was in the 2006 emotional drama The Pursuit of Happyness, alongside his father. The movie is about a father (Will Smith) who becomes homeless with his son (Jaden Smith) and gets an unpaid internship at a company, in hopes of the job becoming a full-time career. Although Jaden was only eight years old at the time, he showed real potential and had a very authentic presence on-screen. This role lead to two more leading projects on his own, both remakes. The first was the remake of The Day the Earth Stood Still, followed by The Karate Kid, which has gone on to have a sequel.
He would return on-screen with his father in the movie After Earth. While the two would prove again they are capable of maintaining a strong on-screen bond, the movie did very poorly among critics and audiences.
Outside of his acting career, Jaden has a very profitable business and music career. Although he is nowhere near being as talented as his father, Jaden has proven several times that he takes his career quite serious and it shows with how wealthy he in while doing most of his projects on his own. He has worked alongside pop icon Justin Bieber, providing rap vocals for his smash hit Never Say Never. To this day the two remain close friends. Jaden also has his own line of clothing where he sells fashionable hoodies, t-shirts, vests and even trousers. And finally, along with his sister Willow, Jaden is an ambassador for Project Zambi, an organization for children whose parents have died from the AIDS virus. Together they have helped raised awareness and donated a substantial amount of money.

Ella Marija Lani Yelich-O’Conner, better known as her stage name Lorde, was born in New Zealand in 1996. Growing up her mother would often buy her children and adult books which educated her in several different writing styles. At an early age she would begin singing and writing songs. In 2009 she and one of her friends did a duo on stage for a talent show, which they won. Eager with wanting to continue performing in public, Lorde and her friend started to appear on radio talk shows where they would perform and gain national attention. They covered popular songs from around that time period until someone from Universal Music Group hired a vocal coach to give Lorde singing lessons. She began writing once more and even performed her original songs on stage in front of people at the Devonport Victoria Theatre.
By 2012 she already had a decent fan base in New Zealand which would continue to grow throughout the year when she released her debut EP titled The Love Club. It was available for free via SoundCloud but it became so popular that Universal Music Group decided to commercially release the EP. It topped the charts in New Zealand in early 2013 and later on in the year she would release the single Royals which gained her international attention. Since then she has released a studio album called Pure Heroin and has become a huge influence for teenagers all around the world.

The young and extremely talented Abigail Breslin started acting when she was only three years old and got cast in a Toys ‘R’ Us commercial. She would go on to appear alongside Mel Gibson and Joaquin Phoenix in the 2002 movie Signs which portrays a family going through tough times and dealing with mysterious symbols randomly appearing on their farm. The movie would prove to be a box office success, with critics praising Abigail for her performance. On a personal note it really is a great movie that everyone should check out. She would go on to appear in a few more films, getting small parts but nothing really major. That changed in 2006 when she co-starred in the movie Little Miss Sunshine. This movie turned Abigail into a nationwide sensation, with audiences falling in love with her character. The movie is about a dysfunctional family which I think a lot of people were able to relate to. The movie would earn her a nomination for Best Supporting Actress at the Academy Awards, although Jennifer Hudson would get the award.
Since Little Miss Sunshine, Abigail has gone on to do several more movies and plays with some pretty big actors. Some of the films include: Nim’s Island, No Reservations, Ender’s Game and who could forget her in the horror-comedy Zombieland? She only recently began breaking out of movies and branching out to do more roles on television. Just last year she was cast in the horror-comedy Scream Queens, which airs on Fox. With the majority of her movies being able to gross over $100 million, it’s no surprise that Abigail would be able to rank so high on the richest teens list.
